Industry highlights week 02 – 06 May 2022

Volkswagen is “basically sold out” of electric cars for this year in Europe and the USA, according to Group CEO Herbert Diess, as persistent bottlenecks in the supply chain are affecting global production. See the article here.

The parcel delivery company DPD is expanding its fleet in the UK by 1,000 Ford E-Transit to a total of over 2,500 electric vehicles. The first of the 1,000 Ford E-Transits ordered are to be delivered to DPD later this month. See the article here.

The Norwegian Ministry of Transport is considering abolishing or reducing privileges for electric vehicles in taxes and tolls in larger cities.
